With Christmas over, it is now time to start thinking about the new year. And as we think about the new years, it is time to make those New Year’s Resolutions.
If you can’t think of your own, here are a few of my suggestions.
- Don’t Complain – we all complain, but life would be much more pleasant if we did it less
- Be More Generous – how about giving away more money, more time, and more of your stuff
- Don’t Talk About Yourself So Much- make it a goal to show interest in others much more than you talk about yourself
- Spend More Face to Face Time With Your Facebook Friends – what if we all not allow our relationship time to be relegated to facebook
- Shop Locally – find more ways to support local businesses, especially those who produce local food
- Drink More Water – get those eight glasses per day
- Spend Some Time With Your Neighbors – even the ones you don’t like
- Say “No” More Often – don’t be overcommited, make time for thinking, walking, chatting, and reading
- Make More Homemade Food – frozen pizza doesn’t count
- Grow Something – tomatoes are easy
- Read Something You Don’t Agree With – this is an amazing exercise for your brain
- Do Something Memorable Everyday – this is a hard one, it makes life much better though
